I most probably could have had more shaves with the Silver Blue but I'm fussy and felt a slight bit of tugging during shave #6. I had 6 irritation free and comfortable shaves with the first blade, which I think is slightly better than my luck with another popular Gillette DE blade. I always try new blades in my Edwin Jagger DE89 first and was more than happy with how the blade felt and performed during that first shave. I was impressed with the multipack discounts offered on blades by Maguire's but opted to buy 2 packs as a trial run. I'd wanted to try Silver Blues for a while.
